It’s Black History delivered in short, lively, fact-packed stories

Black History in Two Minutes (or so) is the new way to immerse yourself in Black history. The digital video series features dozens of condensed, engaging, and factually accurate videos about important historical events and people who have shaped Black history, from the African continent to the foundations of the United States to contemporary freedom struggles.

The series was launched in 2019 by visionary Executive Producer Robert F. Smith, who is the founder, chairman, and CEO of Vista Equity Partners. Episodes are written and narrated by renowned historian and Executive Producer Henry Louis Gates, Jr., with an aim towards accessibility for people of all ages, backgrounds, and education levels.

Teaching guides for educators also accompany the series, giving teachers an easy way to incorporate information from the videos, and the videos themselves, into lessons.

Black History in Two Minutes (or so) has received numerous accolades, including 5 Webby Awards for Best Podcast: Documentary (2020, 2021) and Best Video Series: Education & Discovery (2020, 2021, 2022) as selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS).
